Hello from Northern Wisconsin! My name is Janice (pronounced Jan-eese) Morris. I taught high school art for 33 years, and have been retired for several years. When I attended college as an art major years ago (way too many...), watercolor was not considered a valid media. I never took a watercolor class in my college years!
Since college and retirement, I have studied watercolor/mixed media with a variety of fabulous teachers including Karlyn Holman, Karen Knutson, Jean Uhl Spicer, and several others. Acrylic painting; studying withTed Minchin and Lana Grow, and Robert Burridge, have now been added to the “mix.”
I am a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, the Watercolor Society of MN, Artists of MN, and the Red River Watercolor Society. (Yes, Minnesota lets me in!) I have won an award at the Artists of MN Spring Show.
I have a wonderful studio and gallery in my home. I attempt to have at least one open house, but I am thrilled to have people call to come and visit the Gallery any time! It is “open” whenever I am home-just call to make sure... 715-736-3487!!!
